H.P. Lovecraft’s story “The Shadow over Innsmouth” is horror’s holy grail. Written by one of the godfathers of modern horror, it’s one of the scariest stories ever told, with scenes so tense and terrifying that the sheer imagery will sit in the back of your mind and stay there long after you've drifted off to sleep.

Lovecraft’s story is one of buried secrets that should have remained hidden. Family secrets and sins reach across time and engulf all in the darkness that only a master of horror could create.  

This story has inspired countless authors, filmmakers, musicians, and artists. We are thrilled to adapt it into a feature film for the first time, using miniatures, practical effects, and dazzling makeup to bring the story to life. Lovecraft set the tale in Massachusetts’s North Shore, so we will be filming on location in the land that inspired this classic tale. We have many surprises in store, and we can’t wait for people to see it on the silver screen.
