John Edward Keough has a dream. A man with a difficult past thinks that there are stories to be told, right here in New ENgland, and those stories can be told in a way that uplifts, enriches, and challenges audiences.

These stories can bring economic activity to New England, and can reflect the people who live here. That is what brought HollyWooot Film Group to life.

Over the past two years, the movement has grown to over a thousand locals members, all focused on ethical filmmaking, where people are paid for their roles, valued for their time, and cared for as living and breathing artists.

There is a phrase in media, 'Above the Line', but at HollyWoot everyone is above the line.

Leanne Silvia is an artist without compare. Her ability to put things together both administratively and with a unique eye for design have helped her guide the core ethical principles that help set HollyWooot apart.

Her background in accounting, props, wardrobe, and on sets both small and large make her the secret weapon of the growing Worcester independent film scene.

Her go to frog-hat and matching smile make it hard to focus on the dark parts of the world.

Leanne is the Executive Director of HollyWooot Film Group.
