On September 25th and October 2nd, 2023, Manny Jae Media LLC filmed the Dirty Gerund Poetry Show. This project was created to capture the heart and spirit of the long-running open mic poetry show. 

For a year HollyWooot Film Group, in partnership with Lean Into Production, edited and developed the footage into a remarkable documentary. HollyWooot and the lead poets worked together to create a distribution plan.

On Sept 15th 2024 there was a free screening held at Ralph's Rock Diner, the long-time home of the Dirty Gerund. It was packed, and poets got the chance to see themselves on the movie wall behind Ralph's.

On October 11th, at the Park View Room in Worcester, the red carpet premiere was held. Poets, musicians, actors, local press and local officials gathered together for a special night with branded popcorn, blackout poetry, poets as coloring books pages and much more.

The film is currently in a festival run, having been selected for the Athens International for March 2025 and the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival in April of 2025!
